Filmmaking Workshop - Day 1

We started the workshop by going around the table introducing ourselves.
We asked the participants to think about what revitalization means to them and asked them how they could express themselves using a word, an object, a colour, etc. that summarizes how they feel about their changing neighbourhood.
For the second half of the class we divided into 3 groups of 3 and went outside to shoot some video!

We kicked off the Media Embassy with the our very first media making workshop in VR and Game making today! It was great meeting all the workshop participants! We had fun playing with some VR demos on the Oculus Go headsets and jumped right into making virtual worlds with CoSpaces! Tomorrow, we'll be out and about the community, capturing some 360° images to bring into our projects! Stay tuned! Check out the worlds they made below! Day 4 - Making games, animations and experiences

Today we explored ways to add interactivity and animation using CoSpaces coding language - CoBlocks. Some of the more ambitious participants even managed to build a game! Check it out! Directions: Use your mouse and arrow keys to move around and discover the object that you can click on to move to the next level. Some of the other participants explored animating their models using code. While others made an interactive, animated comic!
